The Mitchell Hedges Crystal Skull
Countless pieces of evidence exist on our planet that describe and attest visits by extraterrestrial visitors and previous civilizations. These include structures that humans of that era simply could not have built without the appropriate technology, such as the pyramids at Giza with their many shafts precisely aligned with the stars (Orion especially), which could not possibly have been constructed with the means available at the time. Not only then, but even today we can not replicate these structures. One such artifact was found among the most impressive cultures in Earth’s history – the Mayans.
This artifact, which fortunately passed into private hands after its discovery and has remained there until today, is arguably one of the most valuable objects ever found on our planet. It has survived centuries and millennia to serve as evidence for us. Had this find not become privately owned, no one would likely know about it today, as it would have disappeared somewhere to protect the current worldview. According to legend, there are 13 of them – the fabled Crystal Skulls. But this article focuses on the most beautiful, detailed, and intriguing of them all – the Mitchell-Hedges Crystal Skull.
As so often happens, critics who overpromised have been utterly disgraced. This is evident here, as we are practically overwhelmed with facts, rendering few explanations plausible.
The Mitchell-Hedges Crystal Skull was discovered in the rainforest of Belize, where, for over 8,000 years, the Mayan civilization had built their colossal pyramids and cities for their gods, connected by a vast road network as astonishing as the rest of this unique culture. The roads alone stretched up to 170 km in length and were approximately 10 meters wide. Their construction: paved with rock and additionally covered with a weatherproof layer. What’s interesting about the roads is the fact that the Mayans built underpasses, even raised sections of road when necessary, and smoothed out uneven surfaces, despite supposedly not even having wheeled vehicles – indeed, according to archaeologists, they were even unfamiliar with pack animals. Strange!
In 1927, the skull was discovered in a Mayan temple complex named Lubaantun by Anna Mitchell-Hedges, the then 17-year-old daughter of the archaeologist Frederick Albert Mitchell-Hedges. That it was her birthday that day was pure coincidence, but of course, this also prompted some thoughtless and embarrassing comments from critics, which I will address later. The girl discovered the crystal skull by chance in a hidden chamber. As Anna said herself in one of the many interviews, she was bored during a siesta of her father and the workers they hired and was climbing the pyramid, as someone had told her it is possible to see the ocean from it’s top. Looking at the map, this should be correct. On the way up she. saw a shiny object through a crack. She then told her father about it and was later lowered into the room to retrieve the object, since she was the only one who could fit into it.
Since then, many other such crystal skulls have surfaced in various sizes and with different properties, but none are like the Mitchell-Hedges skull. Its very existence proves that it is one of the most important artifacts to have survived into this age of lies. This skull, with its perfection and unique features, surpasses all other crystal skulls by a wide margin. The skull is in two parts, consisting of the skull itself and the fully articulated lower jaw.
One of its most remarkable features is the material it is made of – quartz crystal (rock crystal). Due to its special properties, quartz can only be processed using sophisticated technical methods. In its pure form, transparent quartz crystal has the formula for silicon dioxide – SiO2. Rock crystal fractures conchoidally and splinteringly, and therefore cannot be cleaved. It dissolves only in hydrofluoric acid. The crystal skull was examined for several years by the conservator Frank Dorland. His research findings were fully confirmed by the research department of the electronics company Hewlett Packard (HP). Among other things, Dorland determined that the skull and lower jaw must originally have belonged to a single piece of crystal. According to some “researchers” however, the skull was produced by a “primitive Stone Age people” through centuries of polishing. These researchers’ reasoning is based on the fact that at that time, no one had the technical means to produce this skull through mechanical processing – not even in 1927, the year it was discovered or in the 1940s, the years sceptics said he bought the skull from someone.
One of the special characteristics of quartz crystal is its spiral growth pattern. This creates specific internal axes, familiar to any gem cutter, which are only visible under strong magnifying glasses or polarized light. In other words, if this crystal is worked against its axis, it immediately shatters and is irreparably damaged.
In the 1970s, the skull was tested at Hewlett-Packard (HP) labs. These tests found it was impossibly carved against the crystal’s natural axis and showed no modern tool marks, adding to its mystique as an ancient artifact.
A scientist from HP voiced what many were thinking: “This skull shouldn’t even exist!“
Programmer Joshua Shapiro (Smithsonian Institute) is absolutely convinced that the strange image that repeatedly appears in the Mitchell-Hedges skull is an alien spaceship. He says he has had similar experiences with other crystal skulls. He stated, “I believe that the truly authentic skulls have some kind of connection to extraterrestrials. As a result of my own experiences and those of others with crystal skulls, such as the Mitchell-Hedges skull, I believe we now have clear evidence that humans had contact with extraterrestrials long ago.” It was said that when the skull is placed in front of a fireplace, images of alien worlds and ships would appear after focusing on the skull for a while. While this is exciting, it will suffice to focus entirely on the physical properties of this this artifact.
I will not go on and waste my time on all the—for the most part—ridiculous claims of the skeptics to explain where they think it originated from. As so often, many can’t wrap their heads around new information that contradicts what they believe to be the truth when it comes to history and the human race. However, a few examples of these claims are that the skull was not found where and when Mitchell-Hedges claimed, and that he instead bought it later at an auction. Others claim it was polished by hand over the span of 200–300 years—oh dear—and yet other explanations are that it was German craftsmanship.
For some, this might be a welcome explanation, allowing them not to believe those who claim it is alien technology or built by another advanced race that lived long before us. But here are some facts about the skull you won’t find on Wikipedia and similar sources: none of these explanations and theories explain how it was possible that:
- The skull was carved against the natural axis of the crystal without bursting
- The skull features identical facial halves—mirrored sides.
- Most remarkably, the skull has perfectly calculated prisms outside and inside the skull to precisely magnify incoming light exiting through the eyes, no matter from which direction it is hitting the skull—even from the bottom.
All three of these facts prove that some sort of computing technology simply must have been used to create it—technology we did not have at the time. The fact that one of the leading electronics companies, HP, presented even more dramatic results than Dorland, as well as other special features of the skull, is simply not mentioned to get people to stop wondering and talking about this incredible artifact.
There is one more interesting point that is not to be found anymore these days. The skull is a perfect replica of a human skull – except for one little detail. The teeth do not show the natural X pattern on the biting surface of a molar tooth, but rather a + pattern. Why would the makers of the skull get that one part wrong when the rest of the skull is literally perfection? Or isn’t it wrong?
Another interesting fact is that legends claim that the crystal skulls posses information or knowledge meant for us humans when we are ready to access it. With that in mind it is curious that quartz crystals are actually the best medium for data storage. Data storage on quartz glass, using techniques like 5D Optical Storage, involves encoding binary data into nanostructures (voxels) within durable, fused quartz discs using femtosecond lasers, allowing for extreme longevity (billions of years) and resilience to heat, water, and chemicals, ideal for archival purposes. Data is written in multiple layers and dimensions (size, orientation, 3D position) and read back with lasers and machine learning, making it a revolutionary method for long-term, high-density “cold” data storage.
The Facts
- The skull features details that could not have been produced without the use of higher technology
- When the skull was shown to the indigenous people of the area, they erupted in euphoria and started dancing, suggesting they knew of its relevance and existence through stories passed down over generations
- Scientists of Hewlett-Packard (HP) claimed it shouldn’t exist because it was not possible to create it at the time and possibly even today (with the prisms inside the skull in mind).
Conclusion
No matter who ultimately created this perfect skull, it can be said without a doubt that it was not produced by humans at the time. Whether it was made by extraterrestrials or an ancient civilization doesn’t matter, except that it could only be one or the other, and either scenario would once again prove that history is a lie. Whether Mitchell Hedges actually found it or bought it doesn’t matter either in light of all the mind blowing features of the crystal skull.
Just imagine how many more findings are stored away in the Vatican and other vaults, such as alien or giant skeletons, just to name a few. Luckily for us, this skull was and still is, in private ownership and protection.
